Finally, the 2025 season starts THIS weekend!

Welcome back to all our players and a special welcome to new senior playing members joining us this season – Taiyyib Khan, Joe Middleton, Will Kain – we appreciate you choosing to play for us and we hope you enjoy your first season at The Beets! A quick summary of this weekends’s games… Matchday 1 of the 2025 season sees the 1st XI welcome Stockport CC to The Beets. Two memorable games against Stockport last season saw us bowl them out just 18 to win our away fixture, only to see us lose by 1 run in a nailbiter of a home game. Never a dull moment when these teams meet! Play starts at 12 noon with all spectators welcome. The 2nd XI visit Port Sunlight, having done the double over the boys from Birkenhead last year. Ashton will be looking to get off to a bright start as they seek to repeat their excellent form of last season. On Sunday the 3rd XI make the trip to Bramhall as part of the early season T20 competition. With our 3rd XI having a focus on younger player development, we are excited to see how our stars of the future perform against one of the stronger teams in the league. Goodluck to everyone playing this weekend and to everyone else – please do come and support our teams as often as you can this summer. C’MON ASHTON!

Welcome Back

We wanted to say a huge welcome back to Fraser Hay! Last season Fraser joined us as our overseas player, rewarding us with over 450 runs and 41 wickets, in a superb all round contribution on the field. Off the field he was a marvellously positive person to have around, adding to all areas of club life. We are delighted he has agreed to join us again for the 2025 season and we look forward to another great year for one of our favourite Aussies!
